Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA)
Under the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme announced in March-April every year, The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has entrusted the coordination of the admission process under DASA scheme to NITK, Surathkal from academic year 2010-11. It facilitates direct admission of eligible Foreign Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) & Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) to under-graduate engineering programs offered by the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and seven other institutes, which are comparable to the best in the world and are known for providing quality education in Engineering and Technology.
Under the scheme, limited numbers of admissions are offered to the eligible candidates under supernumerary quota, on satisfying certain admission requirements. Candidates who fulfill the prescribed admission criteria can apply directly to NITK, Surathkal
