Hindi Language Course

The JNICC Hindi course is designed to help you to learn basic and middle level conversation in Hindi Language. The curriculum follows a gradual approach in teaching basic Hindi conversation including exposure to alphabets, words and simple sentences. At the end of the courses you would be able to read, write, speak, understand and respond in Hindi.

Basic Level

- Introduction to Hindi Language
- Introduction to Basics of pronunciation and Devnagri script
- Common Hindi Phrases and Greetings
- Introduction to Hindi vowels
- Introducing Self, formal and informal introduction
- Greetings and introduction explained
- Making of simple sentences
- How to respond to simple questions related to greetings and introductions
- Review of pronunciations and vowel writing
- Introduction to Hindi pronouns
- Introduction to basic words
- Using and making simple sentences
- Introduction to the Hindi number system
- Practicing Words and sentences in Daily life
- Learning Hindi ordinal numbers and their use
- Practicing simple conversation and vowels
- Introduction to Common Verbs and their use in simple present tense
- Introduction to consonants and their application in basic sentences in Hindi
- Explanation and practice of pronouns
- Learning about time duration, months and days
- Making of the simple sentences using future and past tense


- Learning skills on how to converse on different topics such as Likes / Dislikes
- Types of vowels and consonants in Hindi
- Practicing sentence making, relying on the lessons covered in Basic Level
- Learning about relationships in Indian culture.

- Introduction to “Directions and Location”

- Practice of plurals, nouns and pronouns

Maximum number of students in a class – 5

During each session, students shall be encouraged to prepare and present short narrations based on situations already covered.
