Indian Embassy introduces new online visa application procedure w.e.f 1st June 2012

NEW VISA APPLICATION PROCEDURE


FROM JUNE 2012, ALL VISA APPLICATIONS WILL BE PROCESSED ONLINE. THIS PROCEDURE WILL START ON 01 JUNE AND THE TRANSITIION WILL BE COMPLETED BY 30 JUNE 2012. ALL APPLICANTS WILL HAVE TO REGISTER THEMSELVES ONLINE AND ENTER ALL RELEVANT DATA REQUIRED AS PER THE APPLICATION FORM. AFTER REGISTERING, A PRINT OUT OF THE APPLICATION FORM IS REQUIRED TO BE TAKEN AND SUBMITTED AT THE VISA COUNTER OF THE INDIAN EMBASSY, JAKARTA, ALONG WITH THE REQUISITE VISA FEE IN RUPIAH, 2 PHOTOS AND OTHER SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS. FROM 01 JULY 2012, NO APPLICATION(S) WILL BE ACCEPTED DIRECTLY WITHOUT FIRST BEING REGISTERED ONLINE.

SEMUA PEMOHON VISA HARUS MENDAFTARKAN DIRI LEWAT INTERNET DAN MEMASUKAN SEMUA DATA RELEVAN YANG DIPERLUKAN SESUAI DENGAN FORMULIR VISA YANG DIINGINKAN. SETELAH MENDAFTAR, CETAK FORMULIR VISA TERSEBUT DAN DISERAHKAN KE LOKET KONSULAR DI KEDUTAAN BESAR INDIA, JAKARTA, BERSAMA DENGAN BIAYA VISA DALAM MATA UANG RUPIAH, DUA PAS FOTO, DAN DOKUMEN PENDUKUNG LAINNYA. MULAI TANGGAL 1 JULI 2012, PERMOHONAN VISA LANGSUNG DI LOKET TIDAK AKAN DILAYANI, HARUS MENDAFTAR LEWAT INTERNET SEBELUMNYA.

AFTER REGISTERING, A PRINT OUT OF THE APPLICATION FORM IS REQUIRED TO BE TAKEN AND SUBMITTED AT THE VISA COUNTER OF THE INDIAN EMBASSY, JAKARTA  PERSONALLY DUE TO BIO-METRICS SYSTEM INSTALLATION, ALONG WITH THE REQUISITE VISA FEE IN RUPIAH, 2 PHOTOS AND OTHER SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS.

NOTICE

Kedutaan Besar India menyadari ada banyak situs web palsu yang menarik bayaran lewat internet untuk pencetakan/pengisian formulir aplikasi visa ke India. Beberapa situs web palsu ini antara lain www.indian-visa.co, http://indianvisa.co.in, and http:///www.immihelp.com/directory/indianconsulates.html.

Diberitahukan kepada semua pendaftar visa India untuk tidak mengunjungi situs web tersebut dan tidak melakukan pembayaran kepada mereka. Situs web asli untuk pendaftaran visa adalah www.indianvisaonline.gov.in. Tidak ada persyaratan untuk melakukan pembayaran lewat internet saat pendaftaran visa online untuk ke India.

NOTICE

It has come to the notice of this Mission that many fake websites are charging online payments for taking printout/filling up the visa application form for Indian Visa. Some of the fake website addresses are www.india-visa.co, https://indiavisa.co.in and http://www.immihelp.com/dircctory/indianconsulates.html.

It is therefore advised to all the foreigners applying for Indian visa that they should not visit the above mentioned fake websites and not to make any online payments. The original website address for applying Indian visa is www.indianvisaonline.gov.in. There is no requirement of making any online payment while applying for online visa for India.


Counter Timings:
Applications are accepted at the counter between 09:00 AM and 12:00 PM (Monday to Friday) except holidays.

Processing Time:
Applications received are normally processed in two days and serviced passports can be collected from the counter between 4.00 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. the next day. This time schedule does not apply to services where prior approval is required from authorities in India, or other Indian embassies for non-Indonesian applicants.

It is the total responsibility of the Applicant to check the status of the Visa. Whenever required, collect the Passport within the time given. Once the visa is collected, the applicant should check the kind and period of visa and confirm to his satisfaction before leaving. Any discrepancy should be brought to the notice of Consular Section immediately for correction. It will not be entertained later on.
Visa should not be applied more than two weeks in advance unless there are other travel plans.The itinerary should be shown indicating the date of departure from Jakarta and valid reason to apply for visa in advance.

Non-Indonesian Citizens: Additional requirements

Applicants who are not citizens of Indonesia should submit a copy of their KITAS/KIMAS/DINAS.

Applicants who are not citizens/ residents of the Indonesia and hold a tourist or other short-term visa for Indonesia should normally apply for Indian visas in the countries of their permanent residence. In case of emergency or special circumstance, an application could be made at this Embassy. In addition to the relevant visa fee they should remit an additional Rp.142,000 for reference to be made to the country of their original residence. The processing time in such cases is usually 4-5 working days.

Emergency issue of Visa:
In case visa is applied for on weekends and holidays, an emergency charge of Rp.413,000 is levied for issue of visa on the same day. Emergency Services are granted on Saturdays and National Holidays in case of a genuine emergency like death or illness of a blood relation, subject to production of proof and confirmed air ticket. The applicants may wish to enquire from the concerned officer about arrangements for such emergency service. The decision of the consular officer in this matter shall be final.

Minimum processing time for non Indonesian nationals resident in Indonesia is around 4-5 working days. Applicants who are not citizens of Indonesia should submit a copy of their stay permit (KITAS/ KIMAS/DINAS) with the application. In addition to the relevant visa fee, they should remit an additional Rp. 142000/- for reference to be made to the country of their original residence. Applicants who are not citizens/ residents of Indonesia and hold a tourist or other short term visa for Indonesia should apply for Indian visa in country of their permanent residence.

 

Following documents are required to be submitted for all categories of visa:

Visa application form: Application form according to the type of visa sought may be downloaded from Types of Visas. These are also available in the Consular Wing of the Embassy. Kindly use a pen/ball pen only to fill up the form legibly and clearly, in bold (capital) letters. Please make sure that al the columns of the visa application form are filled in and signed. Incomplete and illegible applications may not be processed. The type of visa, No. of entries and period of visa required should be clearly indicated. The last column showing two reference addresses each in Indonesia and India should be completely filled.

Passport: it should have a minimum validity of six months.

Photographs: 2 latest color, matte (not glossy), passport size photographs depicting front pose against white background are required. One of them should be pasted in the specified place and the other may be stapled with the application form.

Supporting documents: The visa application should be accompanied with supporting documents for type of visa applied for.

Note: All persons of Indian origin who have acquired Indonesian citizenship are advised to surrender their Indian passports to the nearest Indian mission for cancellation and return. The cancelled Indian passports will be needed at the time of applying for PIO cards.

NOTE: These are general guidelines. In case of any other requirements that are needed to be fulfilled by the applicants the same will need to be provided.
