India and Indonesia held their first ever Security Dialogue in New Delhi on 9 January 2018. The Indian delegation was led by Mr. Ajit Doval, National Security Advisor, and Indonesian side was led by Gen. H. Wiranto, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs. Both the sides agreed on operational cooperation in security and counter-terrorism fields. During the State visit of H.E. Mr. Joko Widodo, President of Indonesia, to India in December 2016, the two leaders have agreed to the establishment of Security Dialogue between India and Indonesia.
